Ranunculus andersonii

One of the most unique and beautiful of our Utah buttercups is the Violet Buttercup (Ranunculus andersonii). Its petals are pink, white, or violet colored.

It is found in the western part of the state, in the hills of the dry Great Basin area. This photo was taken on the west side of Stansbury Island.
