The louseworts are small plants that grow in wet boggy areas.
They are not common or conspicuous enough to get very familiar with.
The one shown in the photo is probably Pedicularis parryi.
It was found growing in a high mountain meadow.
It was once believed that cows grazing on lousewort plants would
become infested with lice.
